Dear Parents,
I know this is not newsletter week but I wanted to share some exciting news with you.
Students Offered Selective Schools Places
Hanna Selesele and April Le have been offered places at Macquarie Fields High School in the selective stream for intellectually gifted students. We are really proud of these girls, not only because of their natural gifts and excellent work ethics but also their maturity and great citizenship. They are beautiful young people in every sense of the word. They have been with us since preschool and we recognise the contribution that each teacher (P-6) has made to the girls’ lives. Most of all we congratulate the families who have loved, nurtured and supported their children. Well done!
Rugby Union Representatives
Nicholas Wikaira, Tuaahu Kumeroa and Kara Oeurn have made amazing achievements in Rugby Union. All three boys have been selected to represent Sydney South West Region in the state carnival. This is most unusual when the number of potential candidates are considered. Again we congratulate the boys, and their supportive families who spend so much time and effort making sure their sons attend training and the games. Well done!
Good Kids Excursion
I am delighted to be accompanying 49 students to the movies on Friday. Once again the teachers have identified the children who have demonstrated care, consideration and/or improvement in their behaviour. We will visit Dumaresq St. Theatre to watch Ice Age 3.

Canteen Closure
The canteen will be closed on Friday, 10th July in preparation for the school holidays. Please ensure that the children have adequate food and drink supply from home.
You might like to know that our canteen was surprised by a ‘spot’ audit from the Campbelltown City Council. As expected the report was outstanding and we met every requirement with flying colours. Congratulations to Busy and the canteen ladies! What an outstanding team!
Have a great holiday with the children. Teachers return on Monday, 27th July and children on the following day.
Kind regards,
Cheryl McBride OAM
