After being victorious in the Macarthur area last term, our Rugby Union team contested the Sydney finals recently at Granville Park, Merrylands. All boys represented our school extremely well, exhibiting fine sportsmanship and playing with skill and commitment.
Winning three of our five lead up games unfortunately was not enough to enable us to qualify for the semi-finals but we were entertained by some enterprising football throughout the day.
Thank you to Mr. Finneran who was responsible for coaching and developing the boys’ skills and also many thanks to the parents who assisted with transport and were there to encourage and support the team.
The team members were: Tuaahu, Indra, Nicholas, Anthony, Pua, Jamin, Raymond, Raka, Kara, Sione, John Robert, John Le Noel, Jonathan & Nathan.
Congratulations, boys, on such a find achievement in our first year of rugby union at our school.
